Welcome. K Warner welcomed the members in attendance. It is appreciated that everyone has turned up at a time when the outdoor season is very busy

Minutes
Minutes of the Council Meeting held on Tuesday 25th March at North Petherton IBC at 11:00am were approved (proposed by G Jones and seconded by A Midwinter) then signed by A Midwinter
Matters arising
SBA Proposal for merger: M Hamilton (SBA Development Manager) has emailed an update regarding the BE/EIBA merger following their recent announcement. A meeting is being held in August (22nd). MH believes that this merger will be done in 18 months time and that they will be looking for County organisations to merge within 3 years. MH indicates that they will be planning details with SCIBA and then SWCIBA. MH is happy to attend a meeting to give more information following that meeting.
A Midwinter is also attending this meeting so we will await further details.
Discussion with SCIBA to be arranged Action KW – B Colby, J Price and J Murrell to assist.(put on hold due to BE/EIBA proposed merger)
Junior Donation: Payment has been completed.
Action KW to ask K James to present to us on Patrons. Awaiting response from KJ (C/F)

Victoria WSM have resigned from SWCIBA
Secretary's report
We still have vacant positions. The key role is the President. Please ask your club members as this is important role to fill (Action ALL)
Following the AGM, thank you letters were sent to North Petherton and Taunton Deane
Treasurer's report
A SumUp payment of £108 was made at the AGM (less fee this is £106.17), but has not yet been allocated as it needs identifying (Post meeting – this is payment for 4 x luncheon places).
Website fee and Atherley entry has been paid.

Oct 22 Wed Cornwall League away at Newquay and Bodmin. Coach required.
Oct 25 Sat Atherley first round – we will find if we are playing this round by the end of the month.
Nov 20 Thur Hampshire friendly at Bannister 5/6 rinks 12pm £14 cost (2 courses). Coach required.
Nov 22 Sat Honiton friendly 2pm 4 Rinks £3.50 plus food £6 main course £2 dessert

I have contacted 3 other venues for friendly games and I am awaiting responses. Some are very quick to respond and others not so.
I have struggled organising a match with Wiltshire due to email issues, however that is now sorted and should be arranged soon.
We will be trying to get other friendly games in, then will fill in fixtures with Somerset Clubs.

Competition Secretary's report
Need to add rules for Double Rink League (Action KW/GJ). Play by dates like SWLL.
Will split into two groups but a more random selection rather than North/South so that teams can play some different clubs.
Annual Presentation Luncheon
Presentation Luncheon Action JB, JG, DF to research options.
Options:
Cadbury Country Club
Fox & Goose (nr Junction 22). Separate room at no charge, 2/3 course from on the day menu or they have lunch and function menus
Brent House (nr Junction22). No private room . Carvery £26 incl coffee. Need to find out their quietest day as this is not table service.
Wedmore Golf Club – own bar. 2-course £32-35, 3-course £38
Oak Golf Club
Boat House, Lympsham – only have 24 places. Main £6, dessert £3.
Kit Prices
Gilets and fleece prices have gone up. Reviewed pricing and agreed the following: Fleeces £27.50. Gilet £23.50. Proposed S Lloyd, seconded J Tibbs.
Zapkam have produced sample trouser and jacket to match the shirts (at no cost). To be brought to next meeting and Open Day for members to have a look.
U25s
No real support from SCIBA at this stage. Handover has not been easy. KW currently working on getting fixtures. Some help would be appreciated.

Taunton (Vivary) secretary L Bolt has resigned and this is now Di Blackmore.
The next Council Meeting will be Tuesday 23rd September at 11am at North Petherton IBC.
