Somerset Women's County Indoor Bowling Association - County Guidelines

SOMERSET WOMENS' COUNTY INDOOR BOWLING ASSOCIATION
(Affiliated to the E.I.B.A. Ltd)

Clubs must be affiliated to the S.W.C.I.B.A. and represented by the Club Secretary &/or Delegate who will act as liaison officer between the Club and the Association.

Any affiliated club player is eligible to enter her name on the availability sheets (or via the website) for County games which are displayed on Club notice boards throughout the Indoor season. All details must be completed by players adding their names to the sheets. Following selection, match details and names of the selected players will be displayed on club notice boards. Reserves are expected to attend games in uniform. Standby players are not obliged to attend but be available if required.

County Uniform
County shirts and red waistcoats and zippers are available from the stock controller. Uniform is black below the waist. Bowls shoes.
Home Matches
Players must report in to the Treasurer at least one hour prior to the start of the game, pay their dues and obtain stickers, if needed. Visitor's meals required on the day must be ordered at least seven days before the match through the Secretary.
Away Matches
Players are required to make their own way to matches unless a coach has been provided. Independent travellers will pay the same match fee. Players must inform the Secretary of their boarding point as soon as possible.
County Badge
Players may play in any number of games in any one season. Unbadged players have to play four games against other Counties to qualify for their badge. Only two games per season will count towards their Badge.
Atherley Flash
Players have to play in three matches in order to qualify for a Flash.
County Competitions
Triples and Pairs Competitions are played annually and are on a play by date basis. Teams from one affiliated club of the Association may enter.
County Double Rink Competition
Any Club affiliated to the Association may enter one team into this competition.
Annual Dinner and Presentation of Trophies
The Annual dinner and Presentation of Trophies is held in April / May.
Annual General Meeting
The AGM is held in May or a date decided by the Council Committee.
