I returned to bowls in 2022 after a break of nearly 27 years, and wish I had done so earlier!
Now my days are filled with bowls, be it indoors through the winter or outdoors through the warmer months. I find it a great way to meet new people in a friendly yet competitive environment. There are not many sports that can compare.
My preffered position is at the front end, and I mostly lead for my clubs Kingswood and Hanham in the summer or Bristol Indoor through the winter months.
I enjoy all formats, but a favourite is Aussie pairs as this adds variety to the game and you can learn so much more playing in the two positions.
I play league for both the men's and ladies teams at Kingswood & Hanham.
