Minutes
Minutes of the Council Meeting held on Tuesday 7th January at North Petherton IBC at 11:30am were approved and then signed by S Tassell
Matters arising
SBA Proposal: K Warner has written back to M Hamilton (SBA Development Manager). Awaiting response.
SCIBA: K Warner has spoken to A Jenkins regarding SBA Proposal. Their attitude is that they will wait to hear the detailed proposal then will discuss. They have not gone out to Clubs for feedback. Discussion with SCIBA to be arranged Action KW – B Colby, J Price and J Murrell to assist.(put on hold until further information provided)
Junior Donation: K Warner has spoken to P. Bissett. Awaiting bank details.
Additional fixtures: K Warner has researched some distances & times as planning for next season
Correspondence
P. Bissett has resigned as U25 Manager. Some discussion took place. Need to look to Clubs with strong Junior presence to fulfil this role. Action all
Some discussion took place regarding the role of the Patrons. Action KW to ask K James to present to us on Patrons.
Secretary's report
AGM Date Saturday 26th April 2025 at 10:30am, North Petherton IBC. Nominations & Propositions are due by 5th April.
Presentation Luncheon at Batch Country House on Tuesday 6th May, 12:30 for 13:00. £27 pp. M. Batchelor + 1 (SCIBA President) has accepted. Bookings are due in by 26th April (AGM).
Some discussion took place regarding the cost of the luncheon. This will be added the the agenda for the next meeting in July. Action JB, JG, DF to research options
Treasurer's report
G Campbell has had issues with printing the report. This will be sent out after the meeting.
Signatory on account for cheques needs sorting with L Dewey (although no longer use cheques). Raffle money received last Sunday is enough to cover prizes money for County Competitions.
The coach invoice £795 for Carnmaggos has been paid.
Kit amount received £508 versus invoiced £718. All income for kit issued has been paid as far as i know.
Luncheon : 2 payments received so far. Prefer BACS payment as SumUp incurs a cost.
The 2 friendly matches on 2nd March , no costs recorded.
Still need account details for £100 payment to PB.
A full Banking/account statement will be available for the AGM on 26th April.
Other costs not yet included Engraving of trophies, another invoice for kit (5 zippers), cost for maintaining website, any Officers expenses.
Action GC to arrange payment of £100 to PB regarding the Juniors. Action C/f awaiting bank details.
Agreed that there would be no changes to the affiliation fee for next season.
Fixture Secretary's report
All complete. Nothing yet done regarding next year's fixtures.
Letter to be sent to Cornwall regarding Carnmoggas (Action KW). To include neutral venue Plymouth.
Competition Secretary's report
Finals went well. Trophies now at engravers. New box to be made for the Triples Trophy (P Collins via J. Tibbs)
Forms on Website
K Warner reported that it has taken a while to learn about the website – but forms are now able to be put on there. The Lunch form is present and Competition Forms for next year will be added. If there is anything else regarding the website please contact K Warner.
The next Council Meeting will be in July in the evening – date to be set following the AGM.
