Competition Secretary's report

Pairs and Triples competitions have been sent out – some returns already.

Double Rink draw is out and will be put on website.

Finals will be on 16th & 17th March

G Jones raised the question about the number of ends and the time limit.

  1. Should the Double Rink and Pairs be reduced to 18 ends (instead of 21 ends as it is at the moment)

  2. Should the 3 ¼ hr time limit including optional trial ends, be replaced by a 3 ½ hr limit after trial ends

This was discussed but decided that for this year, the current system will remain. Any changes to be put forward as a proposition to the AGM. Action KW to note for future meeting. It was agreed that the wording of the time limit in the current rules is not explicit so it can be 3 ¼ hr after trial ends.
